1992

 Pastor Underwood was co-organizer of the “Unity March” through the East New York community following the tragic shooting of a student at Thomas Jefferson High School.

 He facilitated the means to provide the “Christians Who Care Ministry” which was a much needed counseling and support program for the Church community. 

He set the stage to sponsor a Multi-Cultural Youth Center, IMANI ALITISMO, INC.  located at 234 New Jersey Avenue.
