1999  

Pastor Underwood began the appeal to the congregation and the television audience for couples living together out of wedlock, to join the church and be united in Holy Matrimony.  The appeal continued and Paul Benjamin and Synette Foster were the first couple to join hands in marriage.  This act of obedience and love took place on the television airwaves on Sunday, December 19th .  Pastor underwood continues to make this appeal.
