In March, Pastor Underwood once again, led the church in a $2.5 million dollar bond drive, in order to increase the Educational Facilities to accommodate at least 100 additional students.  

On January 12th, guided by the “Holy Spirit” Pastor Underwood witnessed another Grace Baptist Church of Christ “FIRST”, with the appointment of  two Deaconesses in training to the Board. They were Sylvia Turner and Margie Ward.
